In FY 2016, CDC funding included:</p> \n    <p><strong>Direct Appropriations</strong></p> \n    <ul type=\"disc\"> \n     <li>$427.1 million in direct appropriations from Congress for health programs in <a href=\"https://www.cdc.gov/globalaids/\">Global HIV/AIDS</a>, <a href=\"https://www.cdc.gov/globalhealth/immunization/\">Global Immunizations</a>, <a href=\"https://www.cdc.gov/globalhealth/programs/ghs.htm\">Global Disease Detection and Emergency Response</a>, <a href=\"https://www.cdc.gov/malaria/\">Parasitic Diseases and Malaria</a>, and Global Public Health Protection.</li> \n     <li>$10.9 million in supplemental appropriations to support <a href=\"https://www.cdc.gov/globalhealth/healthprotection/errb/pdf/progresstowardrebuildinghaitishealthsystem.pdf\" target=\"new\">recovery efforts in Haiti<span>pdf icon</span><span aria-hidden=\"true\"></span><span></span></a>.</li> \n    </ul> \n    <p><strong>Congressional Appropriations transferred from United States Government Agencies</strong></p> \n    <ul type=\"disc\"> \n     <li>$2.1 billion in transfers from the U.S. Department of State to implement programs as part of the <a href=\"https://www.cdc.gov/globalaids/Global-HIV-AIDS-at-CDC/default.html\">President\u2019s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief</a></li> \n     <li>$29.6 million from the U. S.
