However, some people with Paget disease and no abnormal area inside the breast also have <a data-gloss-id=\"537695\" data-gloss-dictionary=\"Cancer.gov\" data-gloss-audience=\"Patient\" data-gloss-lang=\"en\" href=\"https://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-terms/def/537695\">invasive breast cancer</a>.&nbsp;</p> \n       <p>If imaging reveals an abnormal area inside the breast, you will have a biopsy of the area to see if it is cancer. If cancer is found, you will have <a data-gloss-id=\"805418\" data-gloss-dictionary=\"Cancer.gov\" data-gloss-audience=\"Patient\" data-gloss-lang=\"en\" href=\"https://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-terms/def/805418\">biomarker tests</a>. These will check the cancer cells for <a data-gloss-id=\"44359\" data-gloss-dictionary=\"Cancer.gov\" data-gloss-audience=\"Patient\" data-gloss-lang=\"en\" href=\"https://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-terms/def/44359\">hormone receptors</a> and <a data-gloss-id=\"793177\" data-gloss-dictionary=\"Cancer.gov\" data-gloss-audience=\"Patient\" data-gloss-lang=\"en\" href=\"https://www.cancer.gov/publications/dictionaries/cancer-terms/def/793177\">HER2</a> protein that may help plan treatment.
